What kinds of books do you sell?
We sell a highly curated collection of romance books. We know romance means a lot of different things to different people. Here at Wicked Words we choose to consider any book that has a love story as a central plot line or point of focus, a romance book.
We primarily sell new adult and adult romance titles but occasionally pull in a few upper YA novels that catch our eye and we work hard to ensure our shelves highlight a diverse array of authors and characters.
The book or item I wanted is sold out. Will it come back in stock?
We're so sorry you missed the item you wanted! Our shop is unique in that we maintain a small highly curated inventory that we re-fresh monthly. This means that when we sell out of something, we sell out. There are a few exceptions to this rule (for example any of our Wicked Words line will regularly be restocked), but for the most part, we prefer to pull in new (to the shop) titles and items instead of bringing back old inventory. You can shop our store on Libro.fm and check to see if the book you're looking for is available as an audiobook there!
If there is an item you really, really, really want to see come back in stock, shoot us an email at email@example.com and we'll take your request into consideration. We can't always accommodate such requests but if a lot of people are asking for an item we'll definitely take that into consideration when purchasing the next round of inventory.
How do I find out about what's new in the shop?
Sign up for our newsletter! While we do keep social (especially our Instagram) very up to date, our monthly newsletter is the best way to get an update on all the newest stuff all in one go.
When will you get new inventory?
We're so glad you're excited to see new items in the shop (we are too!). We refresh our inventory monthly, but we also love ordering in new release titles so sometimes we add books as soon as we get our hands on them, even if that's mid-month. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok @shopwickedwords, and/or sign up for our newsletter to keep up with what's on our shelves. We'll always post when we've added new items to the shop! Typically, our major refresh will be announced at the start of each month.
Why is the filler paper in my package extra crinkly/mismatched/oddly shaped?
Sometimes the packing paper we use to make sure your items are packed into the box cozy and snug looks a little odd. It can be very crinkly, a little torn, not a perfect rectangle, or a bit mismatched. This is because we try to re-use packing paper and other void fill materials whenever we can to reduce the amount of extra materials we consume as a business. So when we receive a package with packing paper in it, we often re-use that same paper or void fill to pad your orders and keep all the incredible products you bought safe and sound on their journey to you.
How do I track my order?
New orders and new books are so exciting! We've all been there, refreshing the page a hundred times to see if it's magically made it any closer to arriving at your door.
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If your order only includes stickers and/or paper bookmarks you can leave a note at check out requesting that we send your order via first class mail. If you opt to have us send your order this way, you will not be able to track your order, but you will save money as we will refund you the difference in shipping cost. First class mail is usually $0.58, unless your order exceeds the standard weight limit.
Where do you ship to?
Right now we only ship within the United States. We hope to expand our shipping abilities soon and will be sure to update this page, and notify everyone via newsletter when we do.
I have a book or author in mind that I really think you should stock sometime, will you?
That's fantastic! We love taking recommendations. Our "to buy" list is a thousand miles long, and a lot of factors play into whether or not we'll purchase a book for our inventory. But if you're an reader/customer you can send us your recs for consideration here and if it seems like a fit we'll add it to our list.

We do our very best to stock our shelves with a wide variety of inclusive books. However, everyone has different tastes and everyone has different themes, stories, and types of content they find difficult to read or encounter. This is why we heavily encourage you to research your purchases prior to placing an order. Please consider reading a few reviews and looking up content warnings for titles before choosing to read them.
We also operate on the assumption that all customers are either 18 years of age or older, or if under the age of 18, are purchasing items with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
Therefore, we are not responsible in any way if someone comes into contact with content that they find personally triggering or disturbing, or comes into contact with content that is not age appropriate. Deciding if something is appropriate for you is part of your responsibility as a consumer.
